DANDY BLEND

Goosefoot Acres, Inc. and the Goosefoot Acres Center for Resourceful Living were launched in 1988 to help people learn how to use the resources nature provides to make the things they need, instead of buying them. Chief among these things were the edible and useful wild plants growing underfoot. In 1990, Dr. Peter Gail found a caffeine-free beverage he liked, but knew he could make better. He combined his love for cereal beverages with dandelion root to make it more therapeutic and flavorful, and, in 1994, Dandy Blend was born. Throughout the years, Dandy Blend was introduced to alternative medical practitioners. They introduced it to their clients, and demand grew. What started as a basement business graduated to the garage, and, in 2003 to a warehouse in Valley City Ohio. As it grew, the founder?s children and grandchildren became involved in the operations. In 2014, Dandy Blend was certified kosher, and in 2016, Certified Organic Dandy Blend was added to the line. Other than books authored by the founder, Dr. Peter Gail, Dandy Blend is the only product Goosefoot Acres sells. Initially distributed primarily through health practitioners, it was introduced at their recommendation into health food stores in the early 2000?s, and has grown exponentially from then.
